Touch Drawing

Touch Drawing was discovered by Deborah Koff-Chapin back in 1974. It is an easy yet profound process that requires paper to be placed on top of wet paint. The pressure of fingertips, touch on the paper, forms images on the underside. Creating marks with no other tools except fingers and hands, becomes an extension of one’s inner wisdom and higher self. Touch Drawing is used by artists, therapists, social workers, and expressive arts facilitators alike. Even an unconfident creator can experience the wonder of this process. In this 2-hour workshop, participants will:

Participants will:

  • Experience Reiki and Sound Healing for creative grounding and energy movement
  • Use the Touch Drawing method to create a series of drawings
  • Observe and witness these drawings while responding to writing prompts
  • Experience the fulfillment of uninhibited creating
  • Watch and understand how one’s interior life can come alive on paper
